RadioWave processes as little data as possible. There are no user accounts, no ads, no built-in analytics or tracking services, and no hidden telemetry.
The app stores certain information exclusively locally on your device so that the app's functions are usable. This includes:
This data is not automatically transmitted to the developer.
To search and display radio stations, RadioWave uses the Radio Browser API. This sends technically necessary requests to this service to retrieve station data.
To display album art and cover graphics, RadioWave may use the iTunes Search API. Search requests for metadata and cover images are sent to Apple.
When playing a radio station, the app connects to the respective streaming source. The provider may receive your IP address, as this is required for stream delivery.
Depending on the app version used, RadioWave may check for available updates and download information. For direct download/GitHub versions, a connection to GitHub or the specified release sources may be established. For Google Play versions, distribution is handled through Google Play.
RadioWave uses no ad networks, no user profiles, no analytics SDKs, and no hidden trackers.
Any error or crash information is stored locally on your device. Transmission to the developer only occurs if you actively export and share this data yourself.
Since RadioWave does not use user accounts and stores data predominantly locally, you have direct control over your data:
This privacy policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
